How to create clarity around who you want to be

If you are familiar with the law of attraction, you know that getting truly CLEAR on what you want and how you want to feel is SO IMPORTANT in order to manifest anything. This week, I really wanted to talk about why it is so important to have 100% clarity on who you want to be at this stage in your life right now. This is an ongoing effort and it might seem easier for you think "I know who/where/what I don't want to be", but lets really dive into who you WANT to be and keep your thoughts on the positives :) 

Finding an image of the version of you, and who you are becoming, is crucial because humans go through new phases of life all the time. Who you want to be now I'm sure is not the same image you wanted to be when you were a small child, in high school, in college, maybe before marriage, or before kids. Throughout different phases of life, we tend to change our sense of fashion, home decor, favorite colors, favorite music, and sometimes even values.  This image of who you want to be mirrors your choices, how you react to life experiences, what you keep in your home, and how you spend your time. 

My goal through this blog right now is help you discover who you want to be and encourage you to start letting items go in your home that no longer reflect the image of who you want to be at this stage in your life.

If you don't periodically keep up with this, you might still have your childhood stuffed animals and posted decorated throughout your room :) 

Journaling Exercise:

So who do you want to be? What does it look like? What does it feel like?

I'll give you my personal example.

What I want for my life in this stage: I want to be a successful business owner who brings light, positivity, and happiness into my clients home. I want to be an active and loving doggy mom to my 2 year old aussie cattle dog. I want to be healthy, well rested, and filled with energy all of the time. I want to live a well balanced life where I can implement great self care and work without burn out. I want to be happy, organized, productive and stress free. I want to be financially free.  I want to be a confident, sophisticated woman who dresses adorably and elegantly. 

How I want to feel:  Energetic, joyous, confident, well rested, wealthy, supported, organized, free. 

What does that look like?  Here is where you would create a visualization or movie in your mind of what it looks like and feels like to be who you want to be.

Implementing This Exercise Into Your Home

So with all of the information you received from the exercise above, I bet there are a lot of things in your home that do not reflect who you want to be any longer. For example, I used to wear high heels a lot when I was in my late teens, but now 1) they hurt my feet to the point where I cant walk the next day 2) I have a more casual/earthy/yogi sense of fashion now, and high heels don't really reflect my soul anymore.

So what are the areas in your home that you know don't suit your current true image? This can appear in your clothing, your home decor, your memorabilia, your kitchen, your color schemes... The thing is, in order for you to thrive in your environment, you have to allow it to reflect who you are now and where you want to go, not who you were 10 years ago. This could be as simple as decluttering your closet or perhaps changing some paint colors in your home, or it might mean a total home makeover.

After learning this information, take the time to start decluttering throughout your home with the image of you are now and where you want to be/what desires you want to bring into fruition.
